The doctors and staff at Affectionately Cats strive to provide the highest quality care for your cat. Every human-feline relationship is unique and we wish to tailor our care to each family's needs.
Dr. Denise Kessler. Dr. Kessler earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1990 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. In her first years of practice, she saw the need for warm and personal specialized care for her feline patients and their owners. She worked in Vermont's first cat only hospital from its beginning. With a vision to provide a hospital in the embrace of warm and comfortable surroundings, Dr. Kessler founded and opened Affectionately Cats in 1993.

Dr. Sunny Knox. Dr Alison Knox (Sunny) earned her doctorate from New York State College of Veterinary Medicine (Cornell) in 1979. After practicing in a surgical referral practice in New York's Hudson Valley for 14 years, she moved with her family to Vermont and joined Brown Animal Hospital (or " a local small animal hospital"). After 28 years in general small animal practice she welcomed the chance to focus on felines when Affectionately Cats opened their Williston Office in 2007. The patients of Affectionately Cats benefit from Dr. Knox's many years of practice experience.
Dr. Elizabeth Berger. Dr. Berger has been on sabbatical and plans to return in the fall of 2010.
Dr. Berger earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Berger then entered feline practice at The Cat Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the first feline veterinary hospitals in the United States. Dr. Berger returned home to her native Vermont and joined Affectionately Cats in 1994.
