Cat Dental Exam

Regular wellness visits are an essential part of maintaining your cat’s health. During a physical exam, our doctors will check your cat’s: eyes for any signs of deteriorating health; ears for wax, mites, or polyps; and teeth for tartar, gingivitis, and any outward signs of decay. They will listen to your cat’s heart and lungs and feel for any abnormalities in the stomach, intestines, and kidneys. They may also recommend periodic blood work, especially for our senior (8+ year old) patients. Blood work gives us a look at your cat’s organ functions and can help our doctors diagnose and treat diseases such as chronic renal (kidney) failure, hyperthyroidism, and diabetes.
