We are a cat only vet hospital and boarding facility so there are no loud noises or dogs barking to frighten your cat at our facility.

Dr. Denise Kessler Dr. Kessler earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1990 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. In her first years of practice, she saw the need for warm and personal specialized care for her feline patients and their owners. She worked in Vermont's first cat only hospital from its beginning. With a vision to provide a hospital in the embrace of warm and comfortable surroundings, Dr. Kessler founded and opened Affectionately Cats in 1993.
Dr. Elizabeth Berger Dr. Berger earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1991 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Berger then joined the Cat Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the original feline veterinary practices in the United States. In 1994, she returned home to Vermont to join Affectionately Cats.

Dr. Sunny Knox Affectionately Cats is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Sunny Knox to our team. Dr. Knox brings 14 years of experience and a great love of felines to our practice. She will begin seeing patients on Fridays starting December 28.
Tammy Tammy has been with Affectionately Cats for five years as a Technician.
Kelly A Technician, Kelly graduated from the University of Vermont in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She has been part of the Affectionately Cats team for two years.
Valerie Certified Veterinary Technician, Valerie joined the Affectionately Cats team from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine. Her specialties are critical and emergency care.
Janet Janet is a Veterinary Assistant and our lead Boarding Technician at both our Charlotte and Williston boarding facilities.
